FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CYBERLUX CORPORATION  ANNOUNCES PILOT PROJECT

WITH THE CITY OF CLEVELAND FOR DIODALtm EMERGENCY LIGHTING

- - -

Cleveland purchases Cyberlux Emergency Lighting System  to be used as a long-term interim lighting solution for power-outages in key City buildings.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE, N.C., April 28, 2004 - Cyberlux Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CYBL), a developer and manufacturer of optoelectronic diodal illumination tm products, announced today that the Company has received an initial purchase order from the City of Cleveland, Ohio for the pilot phase implementation of its ELS product.

“We are pleased to have been selected by the City of Cleveland, a municipality that   sponsors advanced electrical services, to provide our Company's state-of-the-art emergency long-term interim lighting solution for key City buildings" said Mark D. Schmidt, President of Cyberlux. Michael G. Konicek, Director of the Department of Public Utilities for the City of Cleveland, observed "Cyberlux has demonstrated its ability to install products which provide emergency lighting for up to sixty hours from one battery set. This long-term light life offers an element of safety in stairwells, elevator cabs, restrooms, offices and corridors that heretofore has been unavailable from traditional lighting elements."

About the Emergency Lighting System (ELS)

The ELS product is designed to retrofit into existing fluorescent fixtures. Its control module is connected to the ballast of the fixture and contains a constant charge battery and a patented sensor. The sensor differentiates between "power-off at the wall switch" and "power-out in the building's electrical service". The System's light intensity is determined by the number of Diodal lighting elements that are connected in series – light levels range from "moonlight" to "daylight" consistent with the needs of the space in which ELS is installed.

About Cyberlux Corporation

Cyberlux was founded in 2000 to design, develop, manufacture and sell advanced lighting systems that are based on semiconductor-emitted white light from the Gallium Nitride (GaN) diode. The Cyberlux GaN diodal lighting elements consume approximately 90 percent less energy than conventional incandescent light bulbs and perform for more than 20 years in contrast to 750 hours for traditional bulbs.

The name Cyberlux – “cyber” for space-age technology and “lux,” the Latin word for light – was adopted to reflect the Company’s focus in optoelectronics for the development of new, energy efficient, diodalä lighting systems.  The company is based in Research Triangle, N.C.  Additional information  is available at www.cyberlux.com.
